Watch The Black Keys And Cage The Elephant Members Sit In With Prophets Of Rage In Nashville

first_imgLast night, the Rage Against The Machine/Public Enemy/Cypress Hill supergroup Prophets Of Rage brought their “Make America Rage Again” tour to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN, and they invited some local special guests to help them out on stage. Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and Matt Shultz of Cage The Elephant, both Nashville residents, joined the band for their cover of MC5’s “Kick Out the Jams”.Prophets of Rage had previously been joined (twice) by Foo Fighters man Dave Grohl on the cover, but this super-charged version may take the cake. The performance was certainly high energy, with Shultz’ wild skills as a front man on full display as he sprinted around the stage. Auerbach added his trademark bluesy guitar solos as he traded licks with Tom Morello towards the end of the track. Thanks to YouTube user Bert McCarley, we can watch the awesome guest spot in all its glory.
